Rocket Singh movie of the year?

January 10, 2010 at 1:18 pm (movies)

A well made movie but for sure not the movie of the year with 3 idiots and wake up sid in list. I would say its in best 10 of the year.

Started very nicely by showing Ranbir as an average person who learns over the period of time. He is not exactly a born sales man but picks up the skill very fast and in a very different way from others. He understands that there is another way of doing business and tries to implement it. That is the turning point of the movie where his own practice and thoughts are neglected and disapproved by his own office.

This is what generally happens in lots of situations with common man where he is not allowed to do what he want to and what is good for others. He is told to do what is good for the interest of the company. But here a new ROCKET is born who only wants to fly high on the wings of honesty and hard work opposites to others approach.

No doubt movie have some good points for young entrepreneurs who can learn how to sell their ideas and products.

Over all a nice movie to watch with a good message.

Kurbaan hua

December 12, 2009 at 7:20 am (movies) ()

Last week i saw Kurbaan with lot of expectations and curiosity. Saif and Karen once again in another movie.
But to my surprise all my expectations where shattered from the starting itself. Its a broken movie where directory is trying to link the part and fails every single time. He was more confused then the audience which ends up in confusing all.

Nothing excited in the movie at all..

June 6, 2009 at 3:31 pm (bollywood, movies) (, )

At last the strike between Producer distributor forum and Multiplex association of India is over.
So finally movies will start getting released from June 12, with almost three new releases every week.

Sometime i think was there any rift between them or they were just waiting for the IPL to get over even though T20 World cup is ON. Whatever finally we all will be able to see some movies now.

IPL Vs Bollywood

April 18, 2009 at 9:16 am (bollywood, IPL) (, )

IPL too good for bollywood:

This looks very true by looking at recent trends. No big bollywood movie is getting released in coming months as no one is ready to take the risk.
No doubt cricket is the biggest sport in India and IPL is some thing special.
I am sure once IPL fever is over we can see some good movies getting released. Check ipl calendar 2009 for more details.

EMI should I

April 3, 2009 at 11:45 am (movies) (, )

Yes before watching the movie i was thinking the same, should i watch EMI and that too at that time when i got some much better options like Dev D and Delhi 6.
But still i did my homework about the movies and managed my time properly to watch all three movies.

Expectations was in this order Delhi 6 > Dev D > EMI and some what result was also the same. Even though none of them was able to impress me except music of delhi 6 which is amazing but still if you have no other option then u can pass or waste your time watching these movies.

DEV d Atyachar

March 21, 2009 at 7:01 am (bollywood, movies) (, )

DEV d is just an Atyachar

From the starting itself i couldn’t feel the movie. The movie looks so broken to me that i was not even able to relate it. Dev goes to London and suddenly you find out that there is some kind of Love between him and Paro. To know it i have to think and remember the actual Devdas novel by great Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay then only i was able to understand ..ohh i am watching Devdas…otherwise no chance.

Yeh dil pighla ke saaz bana loon,
dhadkan ko awaz bana loon,
smoking smoking nikle re dhooan.

Tauba Tera Jalwa, Tauba tera pyar,
Tera Emosanal Attyachaar!
Tauba Tera Jalwa, Tauba tera pyar,
Tera Emosanal Attyachaar!

I don’t think so that Dev ever loved Paro .. is this the new generation Dev? Whose love is only for the body not for the soul.

Sorry to say but Anurag Kashyap is not able to make it upto expected standards though he tried to do something different.

Love was supposed to be the theme and i couldn’t feel it. For me it was just an Atyachar

Reviews or no Reviews

March 4, 2009 at 3:33 pm (movies) ()

Do you change your mind after knowing the reviews?

This is big question which keep clicking me again and again and force me to check with others.  And what i came to know is… die hard fans won’t listen to the reviews and if somehow them come to know then also they wont change their mind.  Remaining people will give a good thought to the reviews and somehow follow them also.

Big movies are not impacted much by positive reviews as by negative one and small movies are impacted more by positive reviews then to negative one.

This is my view … what is yours?
